Khâluna continues to impress with its flavors and creativity and visited them on Oct 13. The valet parking is convenient and smooth -- definitely a plus when the restaurant gets busy. The food was excellent as always. I absolutely love their Basil Wings and Duck Fried Rice -- both are packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. I tried their congee again this time; while I prefer the duck congee they serve in the winter, the quail congee offered in summer is still delicious and lighter, perfect for the season. The dessert was a standout -- sweet, tangy, and beautifully presented (photo attached). I can't remember the name, but it had berries and a lovely balance of textures and flavors. If anyone from the restaurant sees this, please help me identify it because I'd absolutely order it again! The only downside this visit was the service by a sommelier, which was unfortunately abysmal -- slow, inattentive, and not up to their usual standard. It didn't match the quality of the food or the atmosphere. Still, Khâluna's dishes make it worth returning. Their presentation, seasonal creativity, and flavor combinations always deliver something memorable.

We had our small wedding ceremony in the private event space at Khaluna. We chose this location because we had dined at Khâluna many times before and were always blown away by both the food and the service! We worked with Payton to assist with planning, who was amazing—highly responsive, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely at ease. Payton guided our menu selections thoughtfully to accommodate both vegan and non-vegan options, all of which turned out wonderful. Payton even helped customize the menu with our own logo, which was such a special touch. On the day of, the space was beautifully decorated, so we had very little to set up beforehand. Sarah assisted us during the event and was attentive and kind throughout. The only minor hiccup was that dinner service ran a bit past our allotted time due to kitchen ticket delays (a testament to how popular Khâluna is!). However, we weren’t charged extra and we went about 45 total minutes over. Our 15 guests fit comfortably in the space and raved about the food & drinks we had selected! We also got to send them home with plenty of leftovers. For a total of 17 people, with numerous options for appetizers, entrées, drinks, and desserts, valet, and three hours of rented space, our total came to approximately $3,500, including the deposit. We can’t recommend Khâluna enough and are excited to come back again and again. Photography by Nicole Ashley.

Have been wanting to come here for a while and it was awesome! Easily parked on street at 5:30pm on a Saturday. Started with some drinks - Yuzu drop martini (so good!) and no dhos margarita (tastes just like a margarita) and a palate cleanser complimentary - very good! We were intimidated by this menu as we didn't know what most of the ingredients were. Luckily our waiter was awesome and helped describe for us. We started with the red snapper crudo (in the coconut lime broth) and we devoured it - we literally drank the broth and even considered getting another. Next was the Sakoo (tapioca pearl dumpling), texture was an adventure, but warm inside and even dipped into the coconut broth as all the flavors were amazing. Immediately, we said we were coming back and getting these two items again. My husband (GF) got the duck fried rice - TBH he was not excited as he thought fried rice would be boring. He admits he was wrong and it was the best thing he's had in a long time - texture differences, lots of duck, so many different depths of flavor - just perfect. I can't pass up a ramen experience and got the Laksa (2 pictures, showing the bowl of goodies and the broth you pour on top), absolutely amazing. Tofu was cooked crispy and flavorful, broth is something I dream about. SO good! I also got the "Few of my favorite things" cocktail and it comes with a lychee and flavors - which I'm not a fan of. Last for dessert we got the Sake Pineapple Parfait (GF for my husband) and again a huge hit - my husband is not a dessert person and he was very happy we got this. This was definitely a culinary adventure for us - not understanding ingredients or how it was going to come together, trusted our server's recommendations and seriously loved every single thing. Restaurant can accommodate small or larger groups and we are definitely bringing friends back here. We appreciated the lighting and decor of the space - felt very upscale. The patio has lights and is cozy, would be nice in good weather. Would not recommend kids under 12 as they wouldn't appreciate the flavors or be adventurous. Spent $223 with tip for all the above.
